I agree with your senitments completely. I too appreciate the efficacy of JS's work. Unfortunately his abrasive style often alienates senior management who have to unlearn certain assumptions they have been trained to believe. Good luck with the quest for effectiveness in the NHS - efficiency should be an outcome that follows not the purpose of the quest.
